These are the 3 pillars that transformed me, inside and out.

Recovery
As important as a balanced diet and exercise are, recovery is just as important. It is extremely easy to get sucked into the addiction of working out, and the high you get from the results you will see. You need to remember to let your body recover. It is very easy to experience burnout. To avoid burning out, giving yourself at least one day of rest is necessary. Your body will use that time to recover physically and mentally. When you burn out, you are mentally and physically drained, and do not perform as well as you should. You will also increase your risk for injury in the process. Depending on what your fitness program looks like, pick a scheduled day, or days, for recovery. Avoid taking a rest day because you don’t feel one hundred precent that day. If you are in a position that risks injury, do not put yourself in that situation, but you need to build discipline. Discipline is what takes over when your motivation falls short. That’s what you will fall back on during the days you feel like hitting the snooze button in the morning. Creating a schedule for recovery will keep you on track during your program, and it will improve your overall experience. Happy Training, and don’t forget, it’s worth the SUCK!
Nutrition
Nutrition is the biggest aspect of any healthy lifestyle. Whether you are trying to lose body fat, gain muscle, or maintain your current physique, diet is the key to your success. While all aspects of the food you consume is important, it can be overwhelming and discouraging. Overall, there are two major components you need to focus on. Protein and calorie intake. For fat loss, you need to be in a calorie deficit. While in that calorie deficit, you want to burn body fat and not muscle. By getting in the appropriate amount of protein you will promote muscle retention and muscle growth while your body burns away body fat. Without the proper amount of protein to support that growth, you will lose muscle, and in turn, lose weight, but it will not be body fat. So, instead of trying to become a nutritionist overnight, you only need to worry about two factors of the equation. The rest will come in time, relatively naturally, as you saturate yourself with the world of fitness. Happy training, and don’t forget, the results will come if you stick with it!
Fitness
Fitness With any physical change you want to make or are currently making, fitness goes hand in hand. Whether you are gaining body fat, losing body fat, putting on muscle, or training for a marathon, fitness going to be a key factor to it. If you are gaining body fat, its likely you are not pairing the proper diet with the right amount of exercise. Likewise, if you want to lose body fat or gain muscle, you need to have the right fitness program that suits you. You also don’t need to spend eight days a week and twenty-five hours a day in the gym. Moderate exercise three to four times a week is more than sufficient for the average person to maintain bodyweight or lose body fat when paired with a well-balanced diet. Everything can be tailored from there. It’s all about taking that first step and continuing to put the next foot forward! Happy training, and don’t forget, don’t compare yourself to others. Everyone is on their own journey, focus on yours!
Hello Everyone
My name is Dylan, and I am here to help you achieve your goals.
A little bit of a backstory of myself. I grew up in the Silicon Valley of California. Throughout high school I was in relatively good shape, though after high school, that drastically shifted. I started to put on the pounds. Before I knew it, I was twenty-nine years old sitting at three hundred and fifteen pounds. I was in the worst shape of my life, and hated myself for it. After some drastic life-changing events, I knew I had to make a change.
With that, my time was consumed with fitness, beginning a journey that completely revolutionized my life, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I now sit at a healthy one hundred and ninety-five pounds, in the best shape of my life with a mental fortitude that can’t be broken.
Seeing the impact that fitness had in my life, it has become my passion to help others unlock their full potential and become the best version of themselves that they can be.
I look forward to experiencing each and every one of your journeys!
Happy Training,
Dylan
Dylan, went through a heartbreaking divorce that left him contemplating the barrel of a gun, depressed and defeated. But through this tragedy he found himself, lost over 100 pounds, and is living his new life in victory. His faith and determination saved him. As his father, through tears, I read his story to our church... and now to you.
